A. Street Tree Report
Mr. Goodrich asked whether all the brush from winter has been collected. Mr. Drobina stated that they were pretty much caught up. Mr. Drobina stated that the big Cottonwood on Hill Rd has been cut down.
Mr. Goodrich asked how many trees were purchased for the Fall planting. Mr. Drobina stated somewhere between 204 and 242. Mr. Goodrich asked if they were all being planted in the new developments. Mr. Drobina stated that most were but some were replacement trees. Mr. Drobina stated that they would probably contract the trees out to be planted by The Brickman Group due to how late in the year it is and with leaf pick up also going on. Mr. Goodrich asked when the trees would be planted. BJ from The Brickman Group stated that they would probably begin next week or the week after with plans to be finished by Thanksgiving weekend.
Mr. Malone asked about the amount of pruning on the report. He asked if there was a set schedule of areas that Mr. Ellis followed to prune the trees. Mr. Drobina stated that it was just an area that really needed pruned. Mr. Drobina stated that they were also going to work with The Brickman Group next Spring to have them do some pruning to help us catch up because it’s hard to stay caught up when Mr. Ellis is working by himself.
