WORK SESSION
7:00 P.M.
1. ROLL CALL. Mr. Hackworth called the Service Committee Work Session to order at 7:00 P.M., with Mrs. Hammond, Mr. Hackworth, and Mrs. Riggs present. No members were absent. Others present were Judy Gilleland, Jeff Fix, Lynda Yartin, Ed Drobina, Lance Schultz, Jennifer Frommer, and others.
2. SCHEDULED MATTERS:
A. Review and discussion of Access Management Plan. Mr. Hackworth stated Ms Frommer was present to address the Access Management Plan. Ms Frommer stated she did not have a formal presentation, however, she and Mr. Schultz were prepared to answer any questions the Committee may have. She stated she understood this discussion was going to be for the area south of I-70 down S.R. 256 and the Refugee Road corner. Mr. Hackworth stated the Birchwood Plaza and the one next to it, Brookview, connect, and the Access Management Plan does not show that any of those will ever be closed. Ms Frommer stated that traffic can be drawn over to Birchwood, and they would like feedback from the Committee on what they would like to see in that area.
Mrs. Hammond stated it appeared that right now the best we can do is limiting future access points. Mr. Hackworth stated current access points are up to further review. Mr. Hackworth stated this would give future developments an idea of the access points that we want.
Ms Frommer reviewed the accesses on S.R. 256 shown on the draft down to Stone Creek Drive. Mr. Hackworth stated he felt another work session would be necessary to finish review of the draft access management and if everyone agreed he would like to schedule another work session for April 13, 2006, at 7:00 P.M. Mrs. Hammond and Mrs. Riggs stated they felt that would be appropriate.
3. ADJOURNMENT. There being nothing further, Mr. Hackworth closed the work session at 7:29 P.M., March 9, 2006.
RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED:
