BOARD
SPECIAL MEETING
TUESDAY, MAY 30,
2006
6:00 P.M.
1. Roll Call: Mr. Sells called the meeting to order at 6:18 P.M. with the following members present: Mr. Sells and Jacqueline Hymes. Others present were: Linda Fersch and Molly Schwartz.
2. SCHEDULED MATTERS:
A. Deputy Municipal Clerk:
1. Motion
to certify top six qualified candidates for Deputy Municipal Clerk-Linda stated
the board has the scoring results before them.
The top six qualified candidates were Christy Barnhart, Stacey Bashore,
Robyn Wolf, Dalene Pride, Lori Smith and Brenda Brown. Motion
to certify top six qualified candidates for Deputy Municipal Clerk was made by
Mr. Sells, Ms. Hymes seconded the motion.
Roll call was taken with Ms. Hymes and Mr. Sells voting “yea’. Motion passed 2-0.
2. Motion to certify eligibility list for
Deputy Municipal Clerk-Linda stated there are twelve candidates on the list for
this position. Motion was made by Ms. Hymes to certify eligibility list for Deputy
Municipal Clerk, Mr. Sells second the motion.
Roll call was taken with Ms. Hymes and Mr. Sells voting “yea”. Motion passed 2-0.
B. Finance Clerk 2
1. Motion to approve questionnaire for Finance Clerk 2-Linda stated she had revised the questionnaire based on the boards comments. The board took a few minutes to review the revised questionnaire for Finance Clerk 2. Ms. Hymes asked when a candidate is rating their math skills how they to rate it by education or proficiency. Linda answered the candidate would be rating by proficiency. Linda asked Ms. Hymes if she felt it should be eliminated. Ms. Hymes stated not if Linda thought math skills were an important part of the job. Linda stated it is a factor for the applicant to have math skills. Linda asked if she should place math skills under the education section. Ms. Hymes agreed with the placement of math skill in the education section and said Linda could say “please rate your proficiency with math skills in general on the scale below”.

Linda and Ms. Hymes agreed having
an applicant rating their math skills on a scale from 0-5. 0 points for none, 1 point is average and 5
points is above average. Motion to approve the amended questionnaire
for Finance Clerk 2 was made by Ms. Hymes, Mr. Sells seconded the motion. Roll call was taken with Ms. Hymes and Mr.
Sells voting “yea”. Motion passed 2-0.
2. Motion
to approve scoring criteria for Finance Clerk 2-Motion was made by Ms. Hymes, Mr. Sells seconded the motion. Roll call was taken Ms. Hymes and Mr. Sell
voting “yea”. Motion passed 2-0
3. Motion
to advertise for the position of Finance Clerk 2-Motion was made by Ms. Hymes, Mr. Sells seconded the motion. Roll call was taken Mr. Sells and Ms. Hymes
voting “yea”. Motion passed 2-0.
3. ADJOUNMENT-There being nothing further, Mr. Sells moved to adjourn; Ms. Hymes seconded the motion. Roll call was taken with Ms. Hymes and Mr. Sells voting “yea”. Motion passed 2-0. The Personnel Appeals Board adjourned at 6:29 P.M., May 30, 2006.
