PERSONNEL APPEALS BOARD

SPECIAL MEETING

TUESDAY, JULY 11, 2006

6:00 P.M.

 

1.         Roll Call: Mr. Sells called the meeting to order at 6:05 P.M. with the following members present: Mr. Sells and Jacqueline Hymes. Others present were: Linda Fersch and Molly Schwartz.

 

2.         SCHEDULED MATTERS

 

            A.        FINANCE CLERK 2

 

1.  Motion to certify top six qualified candidates for Finance Clerk 2-Linda stated she would like to commend the board for such an excellent job on the grading of the applications.  She said just by reviewing the board’s final scores it appeared they both agreed on the qualifications of each applicant because their scores mirrored each others.  Linda stated the top six qualified candidates in order for Finance Clerk 2 were Kristine Seymour, Araceli Embrey, Sharon Leasure, Gerald Batesole, Gretchen Johnson and Nancy Cordle.   Motion to certify top six qualified candidates for Finance Clerk 2 was made by Ms. Hymes.  Mr. Sells seconded the motion.  Roll call was taken with Mr. Sells and Ms. Hymes voting “yea”.  Motion passed 2-0.

 

2.  Motion to certify eligibility list for Finance Clerk 2- Linda stated the eligibility list consists of twenty-six applicants and this list would be good for one year from today.  She stated in the applicants which scored highest to lowest were as follows: Kristine Seymour, Araceli Embrey, Sharon Leasure, Gerald Batesole, Gretchen Johnson, Nancy Cordle, Sonia Dickerson, Susan Resch-Cook, Brenda Miller, Christy Barnhart, April Justice, Lisa Smith, Sonia Thomas, Sara Binkley, Jacinta Seagraves, James Dixon, Morgan Marcus, Michelle Hewitt, Janice Morman, Mindy Morrison, Connie Mauger, Deanna Ventura, Tresa Bentley, Belinda Lampson, Kari Danielson and Janet Campbell. Motion was mad by Ms. Hymes to certify eligibility list for Finance Clerk 2.  Mr. Sells seconded the motion. Roll call was taken with Ms. Hymes and Mr. Sells voting “yea”.  Motion passed 2-0.

 

3.         Adjournment- There being nothing further, Ms. Hymes moved to adjourn; Mr. Sells seconded the motion. Roll call was taken with Ms. Hymes and Mr. Sells voting “yea”. Motion passed 2-0. The Personnel Appeals Board adjourned at 6:18 P.M., July 11, 2006.
