REGULAR MEETING
7:30 P.M.
1. ROLL CALL. Mr. Frazier called the meeting to order at 7:35 P.M. Roll call was taken with Mr. Frazier, Ms. Green, Mrs. Hammond and Mr. Boetcher present. Mr. Pawlowski was absent. Others present were: Steve Carr and Krista Tuttle.
2. APPROVAL OF
MINUTES OF February 26, 2007, Regular Meeting.
Ms. Green moved to approve; Mr. Campbell seconded the motion. Mr. Frazier, Ms. Green, Mrs. Hammond and Mr.
Boetcher voted “Aye.” Motion carried,
4-0.
3. COMMUNITY COMMENTS. Mr. Boetcher asked if there was any additional information regarding the skate park noise complaint? Mr. Carr stated there were no further complaints and the department was moving forward with testing the spray on insulation that had been discussed at the safety meeting.
4. PARK DEVELOPMENT / IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS.
A. Joint Park District Update: No update.
B. Nature Works – Disc Golf Course – Update: Mr. Carr reported that Paul Jay is continuing the work and new equipment will be ordered soon.
C. Simsbury Park Entrance/Parking Lot – Update: Mr. Carr reported this will be out for bids soon.
5. RECREATION AND EVENTS. Mr. Carr updated the Board on the Summer Program Guide. The guide will sent out May 11, 2007 which is a week later than scheduled due to the change in printers.
Mr. Carr then updated the Board on the Adult Softball program. The season starts Friday April 27, 2007 with 41 teams participating.

The final items reported by Mr. Carr were the new sponsorships. Giant Eagle pledged $17,000 for title sponsorship of the Summer Concert Series and to cover production costs of the July 4th concert. SNP’s Pickerington Times-Sun will be the print media sponsor for the Summer Concert Series.
6. OTHER BUSINESS. The next Regular Meeting is scheduled for May 28, 2007 which is Memorial Day. A motion was made by Mr. Boetcher to cancel the meeting; Ms. Green seconded the motion. Ms. Hammond, Mr. Boetcher, Ms. Green and Mr. Frazier voted “Aye.” Motion carried, 4-0.
7. ADJOURNMENT. There being nothing further, Mr. Boetcher moved to adjourn; Ms. Green seconded the motion. Ms. Hammond, Mr. Boetcher, Ms. Green and Mr. Frazier voted “Aye.” Motion carried, 4-0. The Parks and Recreation Board meeting adjourned at 8:05 P.M., April 23, 2007.
