2. SCHEDULED MATTERS:
A. Coordination of Council and Committee agendas:
Mr. Fix stated Rules Committee is hopeful that the final changes to the Administrative Code will be out to Council in the next packet and he would like to have Council do a final review at a work session prior to the next Council meeting. He stated it would then be ready for Council agenda at the second meeting in October. Mr. Fix stated Rules Committee would also begin work on the Charter review.
Mr. Sabatino stated Safety Committee has been discussing a clean-up day and Ms Gilleland stated that is scheduled for Sunday, September 23, 3007, at 1:30 P.M. She stated everyone will be distributed about the City to pick up litter and there will be pizza and pop after everyone is back at City Hall. Mr. Sabatino stated he had received a call from someone wanting to do an Eagle Scout project, and he felt Safety should deal with the on-going problem with the Exxon station. Ms Gilleland stated the deadline for the property owner to have a permanent fence or the hole filled in was last Friday and neither of those things happened. She stated we are working with our attorney to see if the City can take any further steps.
Mrs. Hammond stated the bids for the construction of the Diley Road project will be out in December. She stated Service Committee is working on the Diley Road project and the wastewater treatment plant expansion project. Mr. Sabatino stated it did not appear there was much activity on Diley Road lately with the utility relocation and Mrs. Hammond stated they have been working on Long Road and Columbus Street, and it is all connected to the Diley Road project.
Mr. Smith stated the largest item for Finance Committee for the rest of the year will be working on the budget, and hopefully having the budget before Council at the first meeting in December. Ms Gilleland stated Mrs. Fersch has indicated she would like an additional week to work on the budget prior to the October Finance Committee meeting. Mr. Smith stated he would consider moving the October Finance Committee meeting back one week if there were no problems with any other Committee members. Mr. Smith stated the Budget would be the major issue Finance Committee would be dealing with for the next couple of months.
B. Coordination of Committee activities. Mr. Smith stated he had nothing further to bring forward.
