REGULAR MEETING
6:00 P.M.
1. ROLL CALL- Mr. Wagner called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. with the following members present: Mrs. Dunn, Mr. Wagner and Ms England. There were no members absent. Others present were: Linda Fersch and Stacey Bashore.
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF March 20, 2008, Regular Meeting- Mrs. Dunn moved to approve; Mr. Wagner seconded the motion. Roll call was taken with Mr. Wagner, Ms England and Mrs. Dunn voting "Yea." Motion passed, 3-0.
4. EMPLOYEE/COMMUNITY COMMENTS- None
5. PERSONNEL DIRECTOR REPORT
A. Personnel Appeals Board Regulations-Update Mrs. Fersch introduced Barbara England as the newest member of the Board. Mrs. Fersch reviewed her written report with the Board
6. PERSONNEL ACTION- Mrs. Fersch reviewed the list of new hires, resignations and retirements that was included in her written report.
7. ELIGIBILITY LISTS-
A. Recertification
of current Dispatcher List- Mrs. Fersch stated that
she received a request for a recertification of the
Eligibility List for Public Safety Dispatchers that expires on June 26, 2008
and stated that the extension would be for one year. Mr. Wagner stated that
based on the information provided he would recommend the re-certification. Mrs. Dunn moved to approve the
re-certification of the Public Safety Dispatcher Eligibility list for one year;
Ms. England seconded the motion. Roll call was taken with Mr. Wagner, Ms
England and Mrs. Dunn voting "Yea".
Motion passed, 3-0.
B. Police Sergeant Testing- Mrs. Fersch reported that due to a demotion a vacancy exists for a Police Sergeant. She stated that the test will be held on July 7th at 10 a.m. and that a passing grade needs to be established. Mrs. Fersch stated that the Chief has recommended a passing grade of 75%. The Board reviewed the IPMA Test Response data and based on those results recommended a passing grade of 70%. Mr. Wagner requested that the Chief come to the next meeting to explain his reasons for recommending the passing grade be 75%. Mrs. Dunn moved to approve a 70% passing grade for the upcoming Police Sergeant Test; Ms England seconded the motion. Roll call was taken with Ms England, Mr. Wagner and Mrs. Dunn voting "Yea." Motion passed, 3-0.
8. OTHER BUSINESS-
There was none.
9. ADJOURNMENT: There being nothing further, Mr. Wagner
moved to adjourn; Mrs. Dunn seconded the motion. Mr. Wagner, Ms England and Mrs. Dunn
voted "Aye." Motion carried
