1. Finance Committee of Council’s Subcommittee to review Expenses opened at 8:15 P.M., with Mr. Fix, Mr. Sauer, and Mr. Sabatino present. Others present were Tim Hansley, Lynda Yartin, Larry Jones, and others.
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF September 17, 2008, Meeting. Mr. Sabatino moved to approve; Mr. Sauer seconded the motion. Roll call was taken with Mr. Fix, Mr. Sabatino, and Mr. Sauer voting “Yea.” Motion passed, 3-0.
3. SCHEDULED MATTERS:
A. Review and discussion regarding summary of Subcommittee findings. Mr. Fix stated the Committee had two versions of the summary discussed at the last meeting. He stated one is a finalized version of the summary from the last meeting and the second has some changes recommended by Mr. Sabatino since that last meeting. He stated Mr. Sabatino’s recommendation included adding language in Item 2 that states the potential savings was …projected, in which actual savings would be influenced by skill set of individual selected, and deleting the word “possible” in the next sentence. Mr. Fix ascertained there were no objections to the recommended changes. Mr. Fix further ascertained that all subcommittee members would like to have this summary included on the next Finance Committee agenda for discussion. All subcommittee members signed the summary report to be forwarded.
Mr. Fix stated no further Expense Subcommittee meetings would be scheduled at this time.
4. ADJOURNMENT. There being nothing further, Mr. Sabatino moved to adjourn; Mr. Fix seconded the motion. Mr. Fix, Mr. Sauer, and Mr. Sabatino voted "Aye." Motion carried, 3-0. The Expense Subcommittee adjourned at 8:20 P.M., October 1, 2008.
