5. SCHEDULED MATTERS.
a. Tree Preservation Update.
Mr. Drobina stated that the database is up to date. Mr. Goodrich asked if the database needed any changes done. Mr. Drobina replied yes, he needed to figure out how to e-mail or copy on CD this large file to him. He doesn’t have Win-Zip and Eric Vannatta, the City’s Computer Technician is currently out on medical leave and he was planning on having Eric help him out with this. Mr. Goodrich suggested another way he could send the file and Mr. Drobina commented he would give it a try.
Mr. Goodrich commented how nice the Arbor Day ceremony was and Ms.
Carter agreed. Mr. Drobina stated he thought we had a good turn out and the
weather was great.
Ms. Carter stated she had been checking on different kinds of markers for the
trees in the Arboretum because of individuals vandalizing them by kicking
them and busting the marker off. She commented that she had been advised
instead of purchasing new markers, they could try and move the markers
closer to the trees and 5 to 6 inches off the ground, that way they can’t get a
good aim at it. Ms. Carter added that new unbreakable markers would cost
the City a lot of money one marker was priced at $200.00 a piece.
Ms. Shelts asked if we are doing any kind of pick-up in the City of Pickerington. Ms. Carter replied that we already did this it was last Friday.
Ms. Shelts questioned why she had not heard about this? Ms. Carter stated it was in the City Council minutes.
Mr. Drobina stated that Diana Fuller’s Arbor Day dedication plaque was
ordered and we should be receiving it soon.
