SPECIAL MEETING AGENDA

1. ROLL CALL. Mrs. Riggs called the Special Finance Committee meeting to order at 7:15 P.M. Roll call was taken with Mr. Wisniewski, Mr. Hackworth, Mrs. Riggs, and Mr. Wright present. No members were absent. Others present were: Frank Wiseman, Linda Fersch, Lynda Yartin, Tony Dill, Mike Maurer, Rick Paslgrove, and others.

2. SCHEDULED MATTERS:

A. Review and request for motion to approve an ordinance concurring in the appointment of Judith A. Gilleland to the position of City Manager and the declaration of immediate necessity and emergency in order to complete the appointment process by June 28, 2004.

Mr. Wright moved for an Executive Session under Section 121.22(G)(1)b, Matters involving an employee’s or public official’s employment; Mr. Wisniewski seconded the motion. Roll call was taken with Mr. Hackworth, Mr. Wright, Mr. Wisniewski, and Mrs. Riggs voting “Yea.” Motion passed, 4-0.

Finance Committee went into Executive Session at 7:17 P.M. and reconvened in open session at 7:50 P.M.

Mr. Hackworth moved to approve the ordinance concurring in the appointment of Judith A. Gilleland to the position of City Manager; Mr. Wisniewski seconded the motion. Roll call was taken with Mr. Wright voting “Nay,” and Mr. Wisniewski, Mrs. Riggs, and Mr. Hackworth voting “Yea.” Motion passed, 3-1.

3. ADJOURNMENT. There being nothing further to bring forward at the special meeting, Mr. Wisniewski moved to adjourn; Mr. Hackworth seconded the motion. Mr. Wisniewski, Mrs. Riggs, Mr. Hackworth, and Mr. Wright voted “Aye.” Motion carried, 4-0. The Special Finance Committee of Council adjourned at 7:55 P.M., June 3, 2004.
