SPECIAL MEETING AGENDA

1. ROLL CALL. Mr. Wright called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. with Mr. Wright and Mr. Fox present. Mr. Parker was absent. Others present were: Linda Fersch, Lynda Yartin, and others.

2. SCHEDULED MATTERS:

A. Review and request for motion to approve draft annual resolution to request advance distribution of tax monies of 2.3 mill General Operating Levy from the Fairfield County Auditor pursuant to Section 321.34 of the Ohio Revised Code. Mrs. Fersch stated this was the annual request to the County Auditor so she can collect monies throughout the year. She stated the ability to collect these funds prevents having to utilize income tax revenue from the General Fund and allows the city to earn interest on these funds. Mr. Fox moved to approve; Mr. Wright seconded the motion. Roll call was taken with Mr. Wright and Mr. Fox voting “Yea.” Motion passed, 2-0.

B. Review and request for motion to approve draft annual resolution to request advance distribution of tax monies of 5.5 mill Police Operating Levy from the Fairfield County Auditor pursuant to Section 321.34 of the Ohio Revised Code. Mrs. Fersch stated this is the same request for the police operating levy. Mr. Fox moved to approve; Mr. Wright seconded the motion. Roll call was taken with Mr. Wright and Mr. Fox voting “Yea.” Motion passed, 2-0.

3. ADJOURNMENT. There being nothing further to bring forward at the special meeting, Mr. Fox moved to adjourn; Mr. Wright seconded the motion. Mr. Fox and Mr. Wright voted “Aye.” Motion carried, 2-0. The Special Finance Committee of Council adjourned at 7:15 P.M., February 18, 2003.
