OUR MISSION:
"To ensure a positive quality of life for all City residents, and provide excellent services in the most economical manner."
The Parks & Recreation Department is responsible for maintaining safe, clean facilities, enhancing park land, and providing recreational programs and events for the enjoyment of Pickerington residents.
The department is responsible for 150 acres of park land located in: Sycamore Park, Victory Park, Colony Park, Simsbury Park, and Willow Pond Park. The facilities include:
- Four shelter houses with picnic tables and grills
- Five playground units
- Zeller-Smith Covered Bridge (which is pictured on the City Seal)
- A gazebo
- An amphitheater
- A three-acre pond
- Four softball diamonds
- Two basketball courts
- 4,668 feet of bike path
- Four soccer fields
- Five tennis courts
- Sledding hills
- Horseshoe pits

PARK WATCH
Please be alert to safety hazards, vandalism, and other crimes in your parks. Call the Police Department at 575-6911 or the Parks and Recreation Department at 833-2211 if you observe any of the above. The city will provide a reward for information resulting in the arrest and conviction of any person vandalizing park property. |
