The net amount shown on the bill is the amount due if payment is received by the date due. The gross amount is the amount due if payment is received after the due date and includes the 10% late penalty.

Sewer fees* are calculated on the amount of water used. This would include all outdoor water usage unless a deduct meter has been installed by the City.

  • 0 - 3,000 gallons $ 27.38 minimum charge per month
  • Over 3,000 gallons $ 9.13 per each thousand gallons
  • There is no discount for filling swimming pools or watering sod.

*Water and Sewer fees automatically increase 3% on April 1 each year.

The City of Pickerington does NOT credit sanitary sewer on sod watering, pool filling, or excessive water use.

The fee to the City of Pickerington for a deduct meter is $375.60 for one 5/8" x 3/4" meter with radio frequency capability matching the City's current meter program.

The deduct meter will be installed on the water to an outside spigot after the master meter for the residence.

The billing rates for water will stay the same. Current fee for water includes a $4.50 surcharge per month and $4.16 for each thousand gallons used through 12,000 gallons in the monthly period, and at the excessive water rate of $6.39 per each thousand gallon over 12,000 gallons used in the month. The current sewer fee of $9.13 per thousand gallons will still be charged on all water that does not pass through the deduct meter. These rates are subject to change once per year.

In the event you now have, or in the future will install an irrigation system, a back flow device is required on the irrigation system.

Installation of the radio frequency device and an inspection by the City are required with a 24-hour notice to have our service representatives install the meter. There must be a signed form on file at the City Utility Billing Office that you are the resident homeowner of the property.

If you have any questions, please call the Utility Department at 614-833-2289 or the Service Department at 614-833-2292.
