ALL CITY BUILDINGS ARE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Starting Friday, March 13, 2020 the City of Pickerington Parks and Recreation Department will be cancelling all special events and programs through Sunday, April 5, 2020 to prevent the spreading of COVID19. This includes Breakfast with the Bunny at the Pickerington Senior Center on Saturday April 4, 2020.
Due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19, the Pickerington Police Department is no longer offering civilian background check/fingerprinting services at this time.
For the next several months, the City of Pickerington will be dedicating part of its website to message the importance of the 2020 Census and being counted. We begin this message with a Public Service Announcement describing ‘What is the 2020 Census.’
Due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19, the City has temporarily suspended passport acceptance services.
CRA - Pickerington has Community Reinvestment Areas in specific areas of the City. These areas grant a tax abatement for commercial or industrial property for up to 15 years. Call us to discuss your project, and more information is here https://development.ohio.gov/files/bs/CRA_Pre1994summary.docx
TIF - For some qualifying projects the City is able to implement Tax Increment Financing Districts. These districts allow abated taxes to be used to pay for public infrastructure improvements like public roads, water and sewer lines that directly benefit the project property.
